How do we approach change? Do we direct the course of our lives with intention and enthusiasm? Or do we go with the flow of life, allowing gravity to carry us toward our fate?

The techniques employed in this work embrace both chance and intention, to reflect this eternal choice. Paint was spilled and allowed to dry without resistance or control on parts of the surface. Alternately, paint was applied intentionally with a palette knife or brush.

Circles of colour suggest movement in the figures and point to my continued interest in the use of the circle or sphere as a symbol of our being or consciousness.
