Making art helps me to process the difficult emotions accompanying loss. As a parent, I loved the certainty of my purpose in life — creating a home and nurturing a family who needed me. Now they have grown. Our home is emptying out. All is as it should be. Yet, the stillness and the silence return me to the existential uncertainty of my 20s. Now, in this new reality, what is my purpose?
